With a background in environmental science/forest ecology and over ten years of residential garden design/build experience, eight of which were spent as a business owner/operator, Tara brings a well-rounded and practical design approach to RHAA.  The majority of her past work includes the design of large-scale residential projects on which she worked closely with clients and contractors while managing the projects through construction to completion.  Given her extensive plant knowledge, it is no wonder her interests lie in the use of site appropriate plant material as design elements as well as creating spaces that are aesthetically pleasing and inviting. She is also especially interested in the construction process and the use of sustainable materials and construction methods.  Tara sees material selection, details of designed spaces and enduring qualities as the foundation of a successful design.
